Privacy Policy
Overview
Photo Slideshow is a photo slideshow and screen saver app for Android. It is built to work entirely offline for local photos: it displays the photos you choose, from wherever you choose them, and does nothing else with that information. The only exception is an optional Google Photos sign-in, described below. This policy explains, in plain terms, what that means in practice.
Information we collect
None. Photo Slideshow does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, device identifiers, or usage information. It has no user accounts of its own, no sign-in of its own, and no backend server to send data to.
On-device photo access
Photos you select through the system Photo Picker, or a folder you hand over through the Storage Access Framework, are read directly from the source you chose and displayed in the slideshow, on screen. Access is scoped to exactly what you pick — Photo Slideshow does not request broad storage permission and does not scan your device for photos on its own.
Google Photos (optional)
If you choose to connect a Google Photos account, Pixel Photo Slideshow uses Google's OAuth device-code flow and the official Google Photos Picker API. Only the specific items you select through Google's own picker are ever accessed; Pixel Photo Slideshow never requests broad library access. This sign-in and any photo requests go directly to Google's servers, not to any server Photo Slideshow controls.
Permissions
Photo Slideshow requests only the Android permissions it needs to read the photos and folders you explicitly select, and, if enabled, to run as an Android screen saver ("Daydream"). None of it is used to transmit data off your device.
Third-party services
Photo Slideshow does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only third-party service it ever talks to is Google's own OAuth and Photos Picker APIs, and only if you choose to connect a Google Photos account.
Children's privacy
Photo Slideshow is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age — it does not collect information from anyone at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised effective date above. Continued use of Pixel Photo Slideshow after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
