Only real junk
Thumbnail caches, abandoned temporary files and partial downloads, logs and crash dumps, PC/Mac metadata files, and installers for apps you already have.
Device Housekeeping is a safe, honest storage cleaner for Android phones, tablets, and Google TV. It removes only what really is junk and shows the space you actually get back. No backend. No analytics. No internet access.
Every category is defined by a rule that leaves no doubt. Nothing in your photo, video, music or document folders is judged by its name, and nothing is deleted without being checked twice.
Thumbnail caches, abandoned temporary files and partial downloads, logs and crash dumps, PC/Mac metadata files, and installers for apps you already have.
Certain junk is preselected. Folders left by uninstalled apps, stray installers, and the recycle bin are listed under "Review before cleaning" and never selected for you.
Every item is verified again just before it's removed: still in place, unchanged since the scan, not excluded, not protected, and its rule still holds.
See both the size of what was deleted and the change in free space your storage reports, before vs. after.
Open any category to see every file with its size, age, location and the reason it was offered. Select, sort, or exclude items from future scans.
An optional daily or weekly job that cleans Safe categories only, through the same re-checks as a manual run. Review items are never touched unattended.
Device Housekeeping follows Material 3 Expressive, the design language behind Google's own Pixel apps, with a storage ring that sweeps in, a radar sweep while scanning, and a live progress ring while cleaning. It supports light, dark, and system themes, dynamic color, more than 16 curated color themes, adjustable contrast, and Pure Black and Absolute Black modes. And there's no snake oil: no RAM booster, no "battery saver", no fake scores.
Device Housekeeping works entirely on your device and doesn't even have the internet permission. It reads file names, sizes and dates to find junk — never file contents — and keeps its cleaning log on the device, out of backups. There are no accounts, no ad SDKs, and no analytics.
